Whiz Kids
Whiz Kids is a tutoring ministry to "Whiz" kids in inner-city Oklahoma City. On Tuesday nights, volunteers from Metropolitan go to Olivet to help in their Whiz Kids ministry. The evening starts with a light meal, followed by the adults helping the children with reading for about an hour. The evening concludes with Club time, which is a Bible story time.
Each child receives individual attention from a caring adult. Most of the children improve their reading skills during the year, some as much as two grade levels. If you are interested in serving with Whiz Kids, please contact the church office.
