Women's Ministry
Women's Ministry at Metropolitan is committed to loving and serving women through our various ministries. We want women to experience God in a fresh, new way. The Women's Ministry strives to meet the following goals:
- To minister to the women of Metropolitan by drawing them to a closer relationship with God.
- To equip the women of Metropolitan to serve each other and serve the church by exercising their spiritual gifts and talents.
- To encourage faithful prayer for our church and the needs of others.
- To provide training and opportunities for outreach to the community.
- To develop and encourage unity among the women of Metropolitan.
Women's ministry desires to have all women involved--young, not-so-young, single, or married. We have many opportunities for you to get involved:
- MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meetings
- Prepare meals for funerals, parents with newborns, people with illnesses
- Prayer Chain: praying for the needs of the church body
- Heart to Heart: forming relationships between younger and older women.
- Hospitality: serving at various functions of the churches.
- Special Events: uniting women through retreats, programs, and events.
- A variety of Bible Studies
- Decorating: preparing for our special events, holidays, and other functions.

MOPS Meetings to Resume September 16th
Tuesday, September 16 9:15 AM - 11:30 AM
This year the MOPS International theme is “Adventures in Mothering.” It is our hope that all Mothers of Preschoolers would grasp “how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ” (Ephesians 3:18). Our first meeting is Tuesday, September 16, from 9:15-11:30 a.m. Cyndi Schatzman will be sharing about her own “Adventures in Mothering”.
With a new year of MOPS comes a new Steering Committee, including four ladies from Metropolitan: Julie Oxford, Tosha Tutt, Shari Wile and Sarah Williamson. It is so exciting to be working together planning our upcoming year! We want to invite all Mothers of Pre-schoolers (from infant to kindergarten) to come join us this year.
