There aren't many people around you who understand the pain your divorce or separation has caused. To you. Your family. Your friends. That's the reason for DivorceCare. It's a special weekly support group and seminar conducted by people who understand what you are experiencing. Most importantly, you'll learn how to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to rebuilding your life. The groups are usually small and the environment is relaxed and non-threatening. It provides a safe place for hurting people to learn, share and be encouraged.
DivorceCare for Kids is a Christ-centered program for children (ages 5-12) struggling with the hurt and pain of divorce and separation. This 13-week series is designed to give children the tools to develop healthier relationships within their own families and to give each child of divorce hope for the future. Through the use of dramas, videos, music, puppets, stories, fun games and activities, children will learn to process the breakup of their once intact family, which will help them live happier, healthier lives in the future.
Both of these classes meet on Wednesday nights, 6:45 - 8:15 p.m. in FLC #130 throughout most of the year. Check the calendar to the right for the schedule. You may also contact Trudy Hoffsommer for more information.
